Amplify, Connect, Thrive Support Group
ACT 20’26 is a community-led support group programme created to support underrepresented families during pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood.
This initiative is designed to help people connect, feel supported, and access practical care through health checks, culturally sensitive guidance, and tailored support services.
At its heart, ACT 20’26 recognises that community connection is protective and that no one should have to navigate this journey alone.
Create safe, supportive spaces for connection and shared experience
Improve access to culturally sensitive guidance and practical support
Strengthen confidence during pregnancy and early parenthood
Build pathways into appropriate care and services
Support groups can make a meaningful difference.
They can:
Reduce stigma around seeking help
Build confidence and knowledge
Create a sense of belonging and shared understanding
Help people find the right support at the right time
For many underrepresented families these spaces can be a vital bridge to feeling supported, informed, and connected.

There are a number of ways to take part, depending on what feels right:
Join support group sessions
Access guidance, health checks, and shared resources
Take part in conversations and reflective activities
Support group sessions by bringing your friends, loved ones or family to them
Help shape resources and programme content
Contribute to feedback and evaluation of services
Joining is flexible and there is no pressure.
This work contributes to:
Clear information will be shared at each session
Consent will be requested where needed
Participation is voluntary and confidential
You may withdraw at any time
We are inviting:
Women, birthing people, and families from underrepresented communities
Those who are pregnant, preparing for birth, or in early parenthood
Individuals who would benefit from connection, support, and shared spaces
You are welcome whether you are seeking support or would like to contribute to the community.
Interest or experience in pregnancy, childbirth, or early parenthood
Willingness to be around others in a respectful and supportive environment
Able to provide informed consent where required
ACT 20’26 will:
Provide ongoing, community-based support
Strengthen connections between families and services
Develop culturally relevant resources and guidance
Support learning that informs future programmes and partnerships

Clear support and guidance are provided
Boundaries are respected at all times
Sessions are held in safe, supportive spaces
You are always free to step back or engage at your own pace.
